My tech tip is about a website called colourlovers.com. It's used for color palettes, patterns, and just cool colors in general. The website is mostly used by graphic designers, interior designers, and artists, since it helps with their color scheming and makes color theory easier.
Colourlovers allows you to make your own patterns, palettes, and colors, and upload them (you have to register). It's really easy to use the pattern, palette, and color makers! You use pre-made patterns, and just change the colors. You can also make your very own pattern but it's kinda hard. Obviously, you can browse through other users' uploads, and you can save the palettes, patterns, and colors.
The majority of the uploads on Colourlovers is under Creative Commons, meaning that you can use and change the uploads, but you can't sell the finished product or claim that you made the pattern, and you should link back to the original creator. The only things that need the creator's permission to use, are the patterns, as some of them are not made by users.
I chose this website because I've always loved colors and this website helps me work with the colors in my art. I've learned how to contrast colors and which colors go well with what.
If you're interested in checking it out, the website is Colourlovers.
